Using two quotes of considered to be one of the most famous French writers of all time from the 1800s, Victor Hugo and filtering this through the ideas of philosophy, especially the contemporary philosophy book written by Eugene Thacker, in the dust of this planet, horror of philosophy vol. 1. This idea that, ‘the world is increasingly unthinkable, a world of planetary disasters, emerging pandemics, tectonic shifts, strange weather, oil drenched seascapes, and the furtive, always-looming threat of extinction.’ (Thacker, 2011, p1) I have created a series of glitches as a vehicle to communicate societies glitches. We rarely reflect upon ourselves and our own glitches and the possible effect that we might have on the planet. Through our obsession with digital means and the neglect of what surrounds us.
